Sanya Foreign Language School Affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University (hereinafter referred to as SYFLS) offers a short-term exchange program, which can provide customized courses ranging from one week to four weeks. The courses are rich in content, including Chinese language course, Chinese cultural lecture, cultural practice, cultural experience and cultural sightseeing, etc. SYFLS aims to improve students' Chinese language proficiency and promote their understanding of Chinese traditional culture and contemporary China through the short-term immersive experience in the vibrant Sanya.
I. Courses
Chinese language course: Strengthen Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
Cultural lecture: Listen to the voice of Chinese culture
Including basic introduction of Hainan, Hainan intangible cultural heritage, Hainan food culture, traditional festivals, traditional costumes, interesting Chinese characters, Chinese animation, Chinese tea culture, etc.
Cultural Practice: Practicing Chinese cultural skills and arts
Including folk songs, Tai Chi, Chinese calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, Chinese guqin, Chinese knots, paper-cutting, Chinese opera masks, table tennis, Chinese dim sum, Chinese movies, etc.
Cultural experience: Participate in school life of SYFLS students
Including regular course, sports team, Chinese cultural festival, Chinese cultural knowledge competition, Sanya citizen daily life, etc.
Cultural sightseeing: visit the natural, cultural and historical attractions of Sanya
Including Tianya-Haijiao, Binglanggu Valley which preserves original ecological villages of Li and Miao ethnic culture, West Island Fishing Village which has ancient coral houses, Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, Nanwan Monkey Island, Coconut Dream Corridor which is known as the most beautiful bay, Romance Park, etc.
Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience:
Including bamboo dance, Li traditional spinning, dyeing weaving and embroidering techniques, Li bamboo and wood instrumental music, Yazhou folk songs, Li pottery, etc.

* 15 students in a group
* Tuition fee for one teacher will be waived for every 15 students, and 2,500 yuan will be charged for each additional teacher.
